A studio built around the drawing, not the schedule.
KODA is a private studio in Taipei working exclusively on custom commissions. We take a small number of clients each month so that every piece gets the drawing time it needs. No flash, no walk-ins, no repeats.
The studio
Every commission starts as a conversation and stays a drawing for as long as it needs to.
Most of the work happens before anyone sits down. We ask what the piece is for, what it has to survive, and where it sits on the body, then draw until the answer stops changing. Some designs resolve in a week. Some take a season. We would rather move a booking than tattoo a drawing that is not finished.
How we work
Consultation
An hour in the studio or over a call. Bring references, half-formed ideas, or nothing at all. We will tell you honestly if what you want is not something we should be the ones to make.
Drawing
You see the design once it is worth showing, not before. Revisions are expected and included; the goal is a drawing you would still choose in ten years, not one you approve to be polite.
Session
One client per day. Sessions run two to six hours depending on placement and scale, with breaks whenever you need them. Larger pieces are split across sittings rather than pushed through in one.
Aftercare
Written aftercare, a check-in at two weeks, and a free touch-up within the first year. Healed photographs are taken only with your permission.
