The starting point was a field the client walked past every morning during a year they describe as the worst one. Wheat struck them as an odd thing to admire — it bends completely, all the way down, and does not break. The first drawings were too upright and read as decorative grain, so the stalks were redrawn under load, leaning against a wind that isn't shown. Placed along the outer forearm so the bend follows the arm rather than fighting it.
