There was no image behind this one — the client asked for a feeling of noise and could not name a subject. Work began by filling sheets with marks made under a time limit, then discarding anything that accidentally resembled something. What survived was density: scratches layered until the eye stops trying to resolve them into a figure. The side torso suited it because the surface stretches, and a texture with no fixed subject can afford to distort.
